Classical Piano Undergraduate Certificate

Exp和 your performance abilities with the Undergraduate Certificate in Classical Piano in Temple University’s Boyer College of Music 和 Dance. Take a series of private piano lessons to advance your technical skills. You’ll also supplement performance experience with courses covering topics in music theory 和 keyboard literature from a range of periods 和 styles.  

Open to undergraduates who have completed at least 15 credits at Temple, the Classical Piano Certificate exposes students to the energy 和 excitement of the Center for the Performing 和 Cinematic 艺术. The Center serves as the gateway for creative collaboration between the Boyer College of Music 和 Dance, the School of Theater, Film 和 媒体 艺术, 和 the surrounding communities. Located on Temple’s Main Campus, the Center contains eight performance venues where over 1,400 annual arts events take place. As a certificate student, you can take advantage of lectures, master classes, performances, productions 和 screenings.

Students pursuing the 12-credit Undergraduate Classical Piano Certificate will take courses in

• Keyboard Literature,
• Music Theory 和
• Private Piano for Non-Music Majors.

Most students complete all requirements for the certificate in four to six semesters.
