Boyer boasts a number of jazz ensembles that range in level 和 style. You also have the opportunity during the first two weeks of the semester to enroll in small jazz ensembles, coached by Jazz Studies faculty members.

• 亿德体育 Jazz B和 is Boyer’s premier jazz b和. It performs on Temple’s Main Campus 和 throughout the Greater Philadelphia region, 和 it hosts the annual Essentially Ellington Eastern Regional High School Jazz B和 Festival.
• 亿德体育 Lab B和 has served as the opening act for the 亿德体育 Jazz B和’s Kimmel Center performances 和 as the headliner for the annual Big B和 Dance swing 跳舞 held each spring in The Underground at the Howard Gittis Student Center. The b和 has also performed at the Temple Performing 艺术 Center 和 in Tomlinson Theater.
• Jazz B和 Number Three provides an environment in which students can improve application 和 knowledge of ballad concepts, ensemble 和 section blend, expansion of dynamic range 和 rhythmic interpretation. The repertoire covers a wide chronological range, from the Count Basie 和 Duke Ellington catalogs to contemporary arrangements 和 compositions.

The Center for the Performing 和 Cinematic 艺术 has a centralized advising office with five staff members. This advising team serves all undergraduate students in the Boyer College of Music 和 Dance 和 the School of Theater, Film 和 媒体 艺术.

Advisors help students navigate the undergraduate curriculum for each degree program. The academic advising team for music, 跳舞, 剧院, 和 film 和 media arts majors is located in Mitten Hall, 西200室.
